The letter sets out our clients&#8217; demands to resolve an ongoing lawsuit involving hazing and child abuse in the Kingfisher athletic program.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the letter, Nix Patterson outlined years of abuse inside the high school football program while under the supervision of head coach Jeff Myers. As reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oklahoman.com\/story\/news\/2023\/05\/02\/fight-club-video-evidence-in-kingfisher-football-hazing-lawsuit\/70173732007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Oklahoman<\/a>, Nix Patterson obtained a 2018 video of a locker room fist-fighting ritual called \u201cThe Ring.\u201d This vicious tradition pits freshmen against each other for the team\u2019s and coaches\u2019 entertainment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" data-id=\"3149\" src=\"https:\/\/nixlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/623282f11c443.image_.jpg\" alt=\"Nix Patterson Reveals Abuse in Letter to Kingfisher School District\" class=\"wp-image-3149\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nixlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/623282f11c443.image_.jpg 750w, https:\/\/nixlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/623282f11c443.image_-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oklahoman.com\/story\/news\/2023\/05\/02\/fight-club-video-evidence-in-kingfisher-football-hazing-lawsuit\/70173732007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">You can read the Oklahoman article here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other incidences of abuse included multiple sexual assaults and physical, mental and psychological abuse going back to 2005.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nix Patterson&#8217;s demand letter requires the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Kingfisher must fire its head football coach, Jeff Myers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kingfisher must pay Plaintiff $5,000,000.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kingfisher must institute a mandatory training program for all its administrators, staff, teachers, coaches, volunteers, and Board members that addresses how to properly identify, respond to, and prevent bullying, hazing, and sexual harassment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Kingfisher ISD has 14 days from the date of the letter to accept these terms or the amount increases to $10,000,000.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nix Patterson is a national law firm.
