NP represents DataTreasury Corp. in its ongoing litigation against U.S. Bank NA.<\/p>\n

Judge David Folsom of the U.S. District Court has found that\u00a0U.S. Bank should pay double a jury’s award of nearly $27 million in the suit brought by DataTreasury alleging the bank infringed two patents related to digital check imaging and storage.<\/p>\n

Judge Folsom granted part of DataTreasury\u2019s motion for enhanced damages to effectively punish U.S. Bank in light of the jury\u2019s willful infringement finding.<\/p>\n

The jury issued a $26.6 million verdict in March against U.S. Bank and co-defendant Viewpointe Archive Services LLC.<\/p>\n
