NPR Lead Counsel in $280 Million Final Settlement
October 25, 2012
A $280 million CompSource v Bank of New York securities lending litigation settlement, led by Nix Patterson & Roach as class counsel, received final approval by Judge Kim West, of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma on Thursday, October 25, 2012. From the transcript of the Final Fairness Hearing, Judge West is quoted: “It was a hard-fought case, and I think that the legal work on this case has just been absolutely spectacular, and I want to brag on all of you for the work that you put into it. I know that, for every little bit of iceberg that I saw above the water, there was a whole big ice cube down below it that I didn’t see. I know you all put all the work in on behalf of your respective clients that they deserved, and that you both did outstanding work on this case.”
The class was represented by NPR partners Jeff Angelovich, Brad Beckworth, and Susan Whatley, and associates Lisa Baldwin and Trey Duck.
