Effective September 1, 2018, we have changed our name to Nix Patterson, LLP, but our commitment to excellence remains the same.
Harold Nix founded The Nix Law Firm in the 1960s after graduating from Baylor Law School and returning to practice in his home town of Daingerfield, Texas. Harold Nix built the Nix Law Firm from a general practice law firm focused on helping the citizens of East Texas into one of the most prominent contingency fee firms in Texas. In 1998, after the firm’s historic success in representing the State of Texas on the Tobacco Litigation where more than $17 billion was recovered for the State, the Nix Law Firm became Nix, Patterson & Roach, LLP. Over the last 20 years, NPR built a national contingency fee practice focused on highly complex and difficult cases including catastrophic personal injury, securities, patent, class action, environmental and sovereign litigation.
On September 1, 2018, NPR founding partner Nelson Roach—with the full support of our partners Harold Nix, Cary Patterson, Jeffrey Angelovich, Michael Angelovich, Bradley Beckworth, Neil Smith, and Susan Whatley—started a new law firm focused on catastrophic personal injury cases. With Mr. Roach’s departure, we have changed our name to Nix Patterson, LLP. Nix Patterson expects to continue to work closely with Mr. Roach on cases of common interest.
Nix Patterson, LLP and its partners, attorneys and staff will continue to provide the same complex litigation and contingency fee services to its existing and future clients.
