Attorney

Ashton Poarch

Ashton Poarch represents clients in an array of complex civil matters, including mass tort claims against the manufacturers and distributors of defective medical, pharmaceutical, and consumer products. Ashton also represents homeowners and other insureds against insurance companies who engage in “bad faith” claims-handling practices. Further, she represents whistleblowers who report fraud against federal or state governments, and she has successfully handed whistleblower claims in the areas of healthcare, housing, banking, and defense funding.

Prior to joining the firm, Ashton represented the State of Oklahoma as an Assistant Attorney General. There, Ashton successfully litigated enforcement actions against licensees of state agencies and defended subsequent appeals in district court. She also advised agencies on statutory changes, regulatory rulemaking, and general compliance. Her professional experiences have molded Ashton into a dynamic, dedicated attorney.

Ashton graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. She was the Managing Editor of the Oil and Gas, Natural Resources, and Energy Journal and was a leading member of various moot court teams. Through her written and oral advocacy in competitions, Ashton won a championship, as well as best brief and best speaker awards. Ashton was also a member of the Dean’s Leadership Fellows and maintained a leadership position in the Organization for the Advancement of Women in Law and the Student Body Association throughout her time at the University of Oklahoma. Ashton’s academic achievements earned her an invitation to the ABA’s national TECHSHOW, where she met with industry leaders and innovators. The following year, she was invited to speak at the National ABA Women in Legal Technology Summit.
