Brad Beskin represents injured parties across the country in an array of actions against individual and corporate defendants.
Insurance Litigation. Brad represents insureds who fall victim to “bad faith” claims handling practices on the part of their insurers who underpay claims and withhold benefits. These unlawful practices arise in the context of homeowners insurance, automotive, insurance, commercial property and liability policies, etc.
Medical and Consumer Product Litigation. Brad represents individuals harmed by defective medical devices like artificial hips and hernia mesh. Brad also represents individuals harmed by harmful consumer products and pharmaceutical drugs.
Wildfire and Disaster Litigation. Brad represents families who fall victim to wildfires and other horrific disasters against those responsible, as well as insurance companies who fail to make families whole after the loss.
Whistleblower Representation. Brad represents whistleblowers who uncover and report fraud upon federal and state programs (like Medicare/Medicaid, defense contracting, housing programs, and business loan programs), as well as other state and federal concerns. Whistleblowers may file suit on behalf of the federal and certain state governments to recoup funds that were fraudulently obtained (or retained) from these programs. The federal False Claims Act (and analogous state laws) afford protections to those who, “by blowing the whistle,” help create accountability for fraudsters and protect the integrity of essential federal and state programs.
Brad hails from Virginia, attended the University of North Carolina, and earned his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. Brad’s volunteer activities include the education, conservation, and exploration efforts of Global Underwater Explorers, as well as the Texas German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue organization. He is part of Nix Patterson’s Austin office.
