Winn Cutler joined Nix Patterson in 2012. Winn represents corporate, governmental, and individual clients in federal and state courts across the country. Winn’s practice areas include a wide variety of civil litigation matters, including complex commercial litigation, class action litigation, patent litigation, and personal injury litigation.
During his time at the firm, Winn has been a member of the trial team for several the firm’s largest verdicts. Winn represented Syntrix Biosystems against Illumina, Inc. in federal court in Tacoma, Washington. The Syntrix trial resulted in a $96 million jury verdict that is believed to be the largest patent verdict in Washington State history. Winn was a key member of the trial team in the firm’s representation of the State of Oklahoma in its litigation against opioid manufacturers for their role in creating the opioid crisis. The firm’s representation of the State of Oklahoma in opioid litigation has resulted in over $900 million in settlements to date. Winn also represented oil and gas royalty owners in Cline v. Sunoco, Inc. et al in a bench trial in the Eastern District of Oklahoma that resulted in a $155 million verdict.
Prior to joining Nix Patterson, Winn attended Baylor Law School where he was an editor for the Baylor Law Review and competed on the Lone Star Mock Trial Team.
