NPR Files Suit on Behalf of Data Treasury Against JPMC

June 5, 2002

NPR files suit on behalf of DataTreasury Corporation based on its check patenting technology. The litigation arises from DataTreasury’s attempt to create a secure electronic archive for checks.

After unsuccessfully marketing it services to several banks, DataTreasury later discovered the banks had set up their own electronic check archives without taking a license to DataTreasury’s patents that cover such an archive. In 2002, NPR began its representation of DataTreasury. NPR is taking a vital role in DataTreasury’s litigation against various banks, such as JPMC.
